And then was the concert...
Absolutely amazing concert, the boys from Reamonn were great as ever, and the fact that Sebi played the saxophone for Supergirl was the perfect bonus ;)
The Aerosmith oldies made a great show, I can't believe Steven Tyler is 62... he was acting like a total teenager, drulling over the Romanian Women... who were screaming their heads off for every song (maybe that's why I can't hear properly since then - vuvuzelas are nothing compared with female rock fans)
We were lucky with the weather too, not too cold, not too hot, and no Killers storm :))
And the fun continued after the concert, trying to find my friends to go for a drink in the city center. After seeing a sea of people coming my way, and getting dizzy because of that, we finally met and then the complicated part started, first trying to find a decent taxi and then trying to put 8 people in just one car...
But all is well when it ends well, drinking a Guinness in an Irish pub and chatting till the early hours of the morning.
I must be getting old, because I was surprised to see so many people on the streets at 4 o'clock in the morning...
And now for the people who couldn't be at the concert, here are a few glimpses...

Reamonn 18th of June
Update on the Aerosmith/Reamonn concert: I bought the ticket today so 18th of June I'll be cheering for Reamonn at Romexpo :D
It will be my fifth time seeing the boys, hope many more times will come ....

Glorious day :D
I started the week feeling a little bit depressed, then I had a lot of work to do, which meant I became a little happier and then when I arrived home I received great news which made my day!
Actually it made my year, or at least half a year anyway :))
Reamonn are going to play in Bucharest as an opening act for Aerosmith.
I wasn't planning to go see Aerosmith because I'm not such a fan and I don't have money for the ticket, but now... of course I'll go.
So on 18th of June you'll know where to find me: Romexpo, Bucharest!

Saint Nikolaus
Did I behave this past year for Saint Nikolaus to pay me a visit? Do I deserve gifts or a rod? Maybe both?
I remember 9 years ago today I went to my first ever rock concert in a club. The venue was Georg Elser Halle in Munich and the band was... of course Reamonn :D
They were just starting, their first album was a success, everybody knew Supergirl (although in the beginning I thought U2 was singing it, I wasn't too far from the truth - there was an Irish lad involved...)
Loved the show, I couldn't imagine a better Saint Nikolaus than Rea.
After 9 years they are still amazing...

Reamonn - Million Miles
I just found out that the latest video from Reamonn - Million Miles was filmed before Christmas in... ROMANIA!
It's a really beautiful video, with loads of snow... I wonder where they filmed it ?! Anybody recognizing the trees? Or the wolf :P

Day 02 in Vienna
... and there was Sunday!
Considering the fact that all shops are closed on Sunday we decided to do a culture Sunday and started early in the morning (well that was the plan, but till we got up, ate some croissants and drank our tea it wasn't early anymore) and rushed to Hofburgkapelle for a morning mass with the Vienna Boys Choir. It was really a good way to start the day with a Joseph Haydn mass - the Mariazellermesse. Loads of people attending, especially chinese. Maybe they wanted to see if it's worth converting.
Afterwards we went to Belvedere for a special Gustav Klimt Exibition. It wasn't an easy task to find the Museum because there was so much mist, but finally we found it and had a great time.

rse all this culture made us quite hungy and we decided to try a small pub, the Salm Brau http://www.salmbraeu.com/. If you go there you should try the spare ribs, but be careful, a portion for 2 goes a long way as you can see (actually it goes 2 days at least).
And then evening arrived with the highlight of the month... for me at least. The Reamonn concert from the Arena Hall. It was a sold out concert (of course) with the german reggae band Jamaram http://www.jamaram.de/ as opening act. Rea was amazing as always, cracking jokes and singing his heart out, Uwe playing the lead guitar like a pro, Sebi the multi-tasker playing saxophone like there's no tomorrow... but the biggest surprise of the evening was Philipp, the bass player who enchanted us with his piano skills - starting with the classic Somewhere over the rainbow and ending with.... Clocks from Coldplay - and the whole band joined in. It was a great night and hope many more will come! They definitely won a new fan, Rucxandra bought the next day one of their albums :)

Hurray!!!
I know that today it's the 13th, but I was verrrry lucky today!
After trying almost anything to get 2 tickets for Reamonn's concert in Vienna on the 18th, and not succeeding, I was able to find today a guy in Vienna who bought 2 tickets and he can't attend the concert, and he agreed to sell me the tickets.. at the official price!
Now that's what I call LUCK :)
Can't wait till Sunday to see the guys again...
